Stamford
Connecticut
Stamford is a coastal town bounded on the north
by Westchester County, New York; on the west by
Greenwich; on the east by New Canaan and Darien,
and on the south by Long Island Sound. Stamford,
"The City That Works," is home to a
disproportionately large number of Fortune 500
corporate headquarters, including Pitney Bowes,
Clairol, Xerox, GE Capital,
Champion-International, Time Warner Cable,
Cadbury-Schweppes USA, SwissBank USA, to name
only a few. Stamford has about 110,000 residents
but its population swells to 250,000 during the
workday.
