Norwalk
Connecticut
Norwalk is located directly on Long Island Sound
and is nestled between the Norwalk and Saugatuck
rivers in lower Fairfield County. These two
waterways are setting for the city’s many quaint
residential neighborhoods and are also a source
of numerous recreational opportunities. It is
the sixth largest city in the state with over
80,000 people. The charming, recently rebuilt
historic district of South Norwalk (or “SoNo”)
encompasses several blocks of unique shops, fine
dining, and active nightlife. SoNo is home to
the Maritime Aquarium and is also the site of
the annual SoNo Arts Celebration and Oyster
festival both offering a weekend of music, arts
and entertainment. Norwalk offers residents an
exciting blend of lovely homes, thriving
industrial enterprise and rich cultural
activity.
